Great guitar!

Two issues:

1). Right after I purchased it, the strap pin fell out near the neck. I had it professionally reinstalled on the heel of the neck. It's much like a Taylor acoustic pin now, and very stable. Because it's a bargain guitar, I didn't have the hole refilled, but it wouldn't be impossible to have it repaired.

2). When you strum the guitar, if you slide your finger back and forth across the pickguard, you will hear static crackles through an amp. This is a common issue with some guitars. I imagine adjusting and grounding the pickguard would fix this. Also, playing without resting your hand near the pickguard fixes this issue.

Now for the goods:

1). Plays wonderfully! It's strung with D'addario 11s with a wound "g". Guitar has really exceptional warm projection. Feels great to play.

2). Pickup is really really good. I was expecting to replace it. It's a low output, jangly minihumbucker with that overdrives wonderfully. This guitar sounds better plugged in than my Epi SG.

3). The finish is really beautiful. The binding, woodwork, and fretwork is really top notch for this price. And the guitar is smooth and fun to play. It has a chunky "c" neck and feels comfy to play.
