Smart functionality for a digital broadcast era - Freeview+ functionality gives you some very smart features to look after your TV recordings: Twin Digital Tuner - ensures that when two programmes clash it never becomes an issue. Pause and Rewind Live TV - gives you the chance to review and replay a part of live action, or pause the action while you deal with an interruption. Series Record - notifies you when the programme you want to record is part of a series and sets the rest of the series to record automatically so that you never miss an episode. Accurate Recording via Guide Link - if a programme offers "Guide Link" it means that even if the start or end time changes, the programme is tracked and the recording time will be changed automatically to match the new time. Split Event Recording - even if the programme you set to record is interrupted by and continues after the news, no problem, both parts of the programme will still be recorded. Overlap Recording Resolve - even with two tuners, sometimes there may be a third programme that you simply can't miss. Don't worry, Panasonic Freeview+ recorders scan the programme listings to find a different time when that programme is repeated and set the recorder accordingly.

Quick and Simple Programme Guide

Press the GUIDE button and almost instantly you can view the EPG - New for 2012 is the 7-day Electronic Programme Guide with picture window that enables you to carry on watching your TV channel whilst surfing through the channel list. Pressing the dedicated guide button on the recorder remote control quickly brings up the TV programme listings in a large, easy to read display. You can see what programmes are on now and what's coming up over the next 7 days. You can also set the timer to record your chosen programme or series by highlighting the programme and pressing the red button on the remote.

Partial Delete and Simple Edit functions

Maximise storage space and manage your recordings - Most recordings made from TV broadcasts include bits that you don't really want to keep. With Panasonic HD recorders however, you can delete those annoying bits from your recordings by using the "partial delete" function, therefore freeing up space on the hard disc and keeping only the bits you really want to watch. Of course you can delete the whole recording once you have watched it or you can split it and just keep the highlights. Simple flexible editing makes DIGA recorders more convenient.

3D and Amazing Picture Quality

Full HD 3D Blu-ray playback

Full High Definition resolution by 'Frame Sequential' 3D Blu-ray playback - The amazing picture quality of Blu-ray Disc is due to the increased number of pixels in each frame of the image. Full High Definition requires 1920 x 1080 pixels (that's about 5x more resolution than DVD) and exactly matches the resolution of Full HD TVs. However, 3D movies display twice as many frames as 2D due to the slightly different information contained in the right eye and left eye images. Only Blu-ray 3D discs can store Full HD for the left eye and Full HD for the right eye and deliver them alternately to the screen in rapid sequential frames. This means that none of the stunning resolution and depth of Full HD is lost when watching 3D.

2D to 3D Conversion

Watch 2D images in 3D - Of course it's going to take time to build your collection of 3D movies. So Panasonic offer 2D-3D Conversion that enables conversion of regular 2D DVDs and Blu-ray Discs into 3D images with natural depth perception. Watch your DVD collection in 3D for even greater viewing enjoyment. You can also convert content from the on-line VIERA Connect services into 3D.
