VINTAGE TESLA COIL
For your consideration is a vintage tesla coil. This coil belonged to my late father who was into all kinds of electronic things.
He used to take this to schools to show kids its power. I remember newspaper articles of him holding a flourescent bulb and it would light up much to the amazement of the school kids.
I don't recall where he aquired it originally I believe he built it but I do know it has been in the family a very long time.
I don't know much about coils so I personally did not plug it in to try it. I do know that it has a foot switch to activate it.
I also remember when I was a kid you could hold your hand up when you were close to it an electricity would transfer to your hand.
It may need some wires connected but last I remember it worked just fine.
I am getting ready to move and it is not going with me. If you have ever wanted something like this, now would be a great time to get it.
I will take it to UPS and let them pack and ship it.
