TESTORS Kit No.291, 1/48 scale ,  DOUGLAS A-4 "TOP GUN AGGRESSOR"

Testors Corporation kit, made in Italy, printing by Testors, USA,  Decal set from Scale-Masters.  This is the first of the A-4 Testors Kit releases in 1986.  This A-4 is a re-box of the original Italeri kit no.157 in 1983.   Testors released two more A4's, beginning with this kit.  Quite a legacy of kit releases!

• 56 piece Plastic Model Kit in glossy grey and clear parts of canopy. 
  
• Box Condition: Mint, Bright, but open.  It was covered with cellophane but it was open on one end. 
  
• Inventoried 100% complete with all parts in closed factory bag,  decals and instructions new and untarnished. The kit has never been started.  
  
• Model size  Length 9 7/8 in. x Wing Span 6 5/8 in. 
• Dated 1986 with artwork of finished model

Kit includes pilot, cockpit and instrument panel and twelve 250 lb. bombs on two MER's, two rocket pods and a center-line fuel tank.  It can be built gear up or down.   This kit in 1/48 scale, is a very good representation of the Top Gun A-4s flown in the 1986 Paramount Pictures TOP GUN production starring Tom Cruise.    This kit has decals to be built as either a NAVY fleet VC-2 aircraft or the TOP GUN "Aggressor" aircraft.

As an interesting note: this kit was dedicated by Testors to famed aerobatic pilot Art Scholl, who lost his life while filming air background scenes for the Top Gun motion picture.
