This 600mm High Speed AF lens from Minolta is presently being used on both my Sony a77ii (APC) and a99ii (Full Frame) cameras. I am selling it to work my way to upgrade to the latest Sony 500mm.

This sale comes with the huge 154.5 mm clear front protector that can be removed for shooting since the Minolta paperwork claims it is not part of the optical equation. When comparison shopping you will find not all sellers have this protector. Also consider this is the later, slightly faster focus, more expensive HS model that includes focus hold buttons.

The rear drop-in filter is part of the optical equation. The clear and all of the colored filters are included, though the colored filters are not normally used for digital cameras because of post-processing software. The hard case is in very good condition. Also included is a set of straps, one for the lens and one for the case. The sale includes the front leather/vinyl cap and rear cap.

The non-removable hood works well, you pull it out and smoothly rotate it clockwise to a locked position. The non-removable tripod collar is smooth when  rotating between vertical and horizontal positions.

The optical system is clean with very few dust particles. The photos show this.

Manual focus is also very smooth and precise. The focus limiter ring works fine and reduces the hunting on either long or short distances. The minimum focus distance is 20 feet.

The few wear spots are on the foot bottom, typical for a heavy lens that has been used and not just stored in a closet.

The marks near the hood are related to using the hood, they are essentially rubber scuff marks, not scratches. There is a slight mar on the rubber ring of the hood. There is also a minor dent (2 marks) visible in front of the foot on the photos where the lens is facing the right.

I will include the Minolta Instruction Manual on how to use the features.

Some of the options for this lens include a Minolta 1.4X teleconverter and a drop-in circular polarizer (rare for this lens). I have a copy of each also for sale on eBay.

The photo of the heron is an example of a unprocessed jpg that this lens can get you.

Note: Only users with an ebay history need bid. No brand new users, your sale will be cancelled.
