Le LD Systems MAUI44SE est un caisson de basses actif de grande puissance, conçu avant tout en tant qu'extension d'un système de sonorisation MAUI44. Grâce à sa construction passe-bande compacte, il permet d'augmenter les performances dans les graves du système : doubler le niveau de pression sonore représente un gain de +6 dB ! Il s'intègre en quelques secondes dans un système existant. Grâce à son preset « Slave », le MAUI44SE complète idéalement le caisson de basses déjà présent. Un preset « Standalone » permet également de l'utiliser seul, en complément d'enceintes satellites. Son coffret en contreplaqué de 15 mm d'épaisseur héberge deux boomers de 12 pouces à aimant néodyme. L'étage amplificateur en Classe D du MAUI44SE est relié à une alimentation à découpage d'une grande efficacité. Il offre une puissance totale élevée, de 800 Watts RMS. Des circuits de protection contre la surtension, le court-circuit et la surcharge assurent une exploitation d'une grande fiabilité. La courbe de réponse du caisson de basses s'étend de 40 à 140 Hz ; le niveau maximal de pression sonore atteint 129 dB SPL. Associé à des convertisseurs audio 24 bits, le DSP LECC intégré assure les fonctions de limiteur, d'égaliseur, de compresseur et de crossover, assurant ainsi une restitution optimale dans les graves. Le MAUI44SE est équipé de potentiomètres pour le réglage de niveau, de la fréquence de coupure et de la phase, d'indicateurs LED et d'une embase secteur Neutrik powerCON. Ses poignées ergonomiques de type LD Systems Evolutive assurent un transport facile, et le plateau à roulettes en option se fixe au caisson par l'intermédiaire de fermetures papillon.
