Vinyl Surfaces - EX (Visual VG+, Play EX)

Audio Test - with Audio Technica Deck & Studio Monitor Speakers

  • Quiet intros and Gaps between tracks have VERY LIGHT background noise. There are a few clicks, but not many and there are no skips.
  • Overall the songs sound bright and clear and can be enjoyed without background noise. For a 35 year old LP its excellent and has been well cared for.
  • Please listen to the YouTube video - it is the actual album listed so you know what you're buying 😀

Visual Inspection/Bright Light: VG+

  • Moderate hairline marks on each side when looking carefully - the kind of marks left by regular playing and OK handling, but the Vinyl has definitely been well cared for.
  • No deep scratches

Visual Inspection - Bright Daylight: Looks EX

Vinyl Labels - VG

• All labels VG

• No mould or major scratches, but there are some marks where there is a difference in the 'sheen' on patches, please see the YouTube video for additional pics where I've tried to show this.

• Colours and printed text all perfect

• Small amount of wear on spindle holes

Outer Sleeve - VG+ (EX+ apart from creasing on right hand edge)

• Front Cover: Nice sheen all round, no colour fading. One small sticker residue mark. Visible crease marks to the right edge - please see pics.

• Back Cover: Nice sheen all round, no colour fading. No major marks or creases.

• Gatefold Inner: Nice sheen all round, no colour fading. No major marks or creases.

•  Minor wear on corners

• TINY bit of wear on spine, all writing is perfectly readable

Original Inners (Gloss finish)  - EX+

• Nice sheen all round, no colour fading.

• Slight mark visible on one when holding to light.

• No splits

Vinyl Care/Preparation

• I hand-clean every vinyl listed using L'Arc Du Son cleaning solution. This removes old grease, dust etc. to improve the playback quality. This does sometimes leave residue marks, but these don't affect play.

• Once cleaned, I 'buff' the Vinyl using a very soft cleaning-cloth, then place it into an anti-static black sleeve. This sleeve is supplied with the Vinyl you buy.

I also carefully clean and dry the Vinyl outer sleeves to remove old finger marks, dirt and dust. Once done the sleeves are placed into a PVC sleeve to keep them nice and clean, they are shipped with the plastic sleeve.

Vinyls are then listened to end-to-end before grading, in order to make sure they don't skip etc. BEWARE VISUAL-ONLY GRADINGS...some Vinyls that look Near Mint to the eye have skips, others that look marked play near-perfectly. I've learned that you can't grade a Vinyl without listening to it :)

Finally, I take lots of pics and rip the Vinyl to WAV then 320kbps MP3  and make a sample video, uploaded to YouTube to let you hear the quality of the vinyl surfaces and see HD large pictures of the item.

All of the above is done to help buyers be sure of what they are getting before they spend hard-earned money! For this reason, I am not the cheapest on eBay and don't want to be. All offers are considered but please don't expect me to give them away :)
