STROMBECK WOODLINE Kit No.G-43, 1/60 scale, LOCKHEED F-94 "STARFIRE", 1967

Strombeck Mfg. Co. kit, made for Bersted Hobby Craft Co, Monmouth, IL, kit made in Moline, IL by Strombeck, printing by Strombeck, Decal set from Strombeck, dated 1967.  This is "one of the three" LAST Strombeck woodkits manufactured by Strombeck and carried at that time with the "Woodline" label.    The Woodline F-94 kit is a 1967 re-box of the original Strombeck kit dating back to 1953, but by 1967, Strombeck had ceased to be the company name.  Quite a legacy of kit releases!

  • Box Condition:  Good,Bright and solid, and open, as released by the manufacturer.  Has store seller stickers .
  • Inventoried 100% complete with all parts in closed factory bag,  decals and instructions new and untarnished. The kit has never been started.

Kit includes ready-shaped wooden parts for fuselage, horizontal and vertical stabilizer, wings,finely shaped fuselage and wing tip fuel tanks.  The kit comes with a fully shaped and contoured solid plastic canopy.  The wooden base and spring steel wire display the kit in flight profile. The kit comes with sanding board and sand paper, both required to put final sand to the aircraft wing and stabilizer surfaces.   This kit in approximate 1/60 scale, is a very good representation of the actual F-94 Starfighter actively flown by the U.S.Air Force in the late 40's and the National Guard in the late 50's.

I know some of the history of this kit purchase.  I purchased it in 1967 from the Cardinal Craft Shop in St. Louis Mo. in the early 70's and it has been in my protective kit cellar since, untouched.
