Up for sale is this 58cm Tarmac frameset, including the frame and fork only. The seatpost WILL NOT be included. If you walked into a Specialized store and bought a Tarmac Pro frame, you'd walk out with this identical frame in a different color. There has not been model change to the Tarmac frame since this was released. This is the model that came after the SL4. At the time it was referred to as the "New Tarmac" with Rider-First Engineering. You can read all about it on Specialized's website, which ebay does not allow me to link to. The color is described by Specialized as Satin Black / Charcoal. Part number is 70615-1258. You can see it originally retailed for $3,000. This is very similar to an S-works frame at only a fraction of the price. I currently ride the same frame in the same color in a different size and absolutely love it.

This is a used, frame and the buyer should expect some small cosmetic blemishes that are consistent with use. I've tried to document the biggest imperfections that I could find. Let me call your attention to the three biggest specifically, so you know exactly what you are getting:
  1. Near the front derailleur mount you can see some minor scuffs and marks on the frame (see pictures)
  2. On the head tube there are some minor scratches that look like they are the result of some minor cable rub, which is fairly typical (see pictures)
  3. I took many pictures around the top of the seat tube where the top tube meets it. The finish is not perfect here, so I took many pictures to try to capture as much detail as possible. The imperfections are very subtle, so it is hard to capture the detail. You can feel inside the frame here and it feels normal. The imperfections here look cosmetic to my eyes, and I personally would have no hesitation to ride the frame as is and put 20,000 miles on it. However, I have not had it checked by ultrasound or anything like that, so I am going off of what I see. The only reason I'm using so much space to talk about what appears to be a very minor issue is because if I were the buyer, I'd want this brought to my attention. I don't know what caused these marks. Take a look at the pictures and you be the judge. The frame is being sold "as-is." (see pictures)
There is some protective film on the chain stay that could be removed if desired. It's never been repaired and is a very solid bike. The steerer/fork has plenty of room to get the right stem height for your fit.

I just sold this same frame/color in a different size earlier this month for $1,400 (yes, in the last month I've had three of these in my possession. Yes, I'm a fanatic). Other than the issue around the seat tube/top tube area, this frame is cleaner than the last and the last one was quite nice--the buyer was thrilled. Please ask any and all questions before purchasing. I have 100% positive feedback for a reason. Thank you!
