The Volkl Mantra Jr. is a great ski for younger skiers or tweens that are in need of a ski that can tackle any terrain on the mountain. The 86mm waist has the ability to float in deeper snow when it is time to chase dad down a fresh powder field while still being able to be very carveable to rip the groomers with mom. The Mantra Jr. is Fully Rockered to improve maneuverability on the front side and increase the amount of off trail skiing ability. The Sensorwood Core has vertically laminated wood that will has the stiffness and power for little rippers to have stability in any terrain, especially when they are really moving down the mountain. Volkl's Power Construction is the very same that is used in all of Volkl's Race skis that has tremendous edge hold on firm snow, and stability for junior to have the confidence to get aggressive on challenging terrain. If you have a little guy that is not afraid to chase you down any run, the Volkl Mantra Jr. is the ski for them.
