Genuine Ilcea Radica Calfskin (a.k.a. Museum Calf holds a high seat in the pantheon of shoe leathers. Crafted in Italy, this legendary leather is known for its unique marbling and subtle cloudy appearance. The signature effect is achieved by a light sponging of the leather immediately after an aniline bath, while the skin is still wet. The treatment allows the color to penetrate the hide, as opposed to remaining on the surface. The final effect has eye-catching depth and remarkable sophistication.

The Epaulet Sport Trainer is our modern day re-interpretation of the athletic shoes issued to the West German army in the 1970s. We've retained the clean lines, slim shape, and minimal design of the original - but we've upgraded all of the materials to offer a truly high-end product.

This particular museum calf trainer is made in the handsome gold colorway.

Epaulet Trainers perfectly compliment the casual side of our collection. We're confident that they are the best product on the market at anything approaching this price. They'll wear in beautifully, and we believe you'll find them to be some of the most comfortable shoes that you have ever worn.

SIZING

Epaulet Sport Trainers run true to size. If you typically wear a 10.5D in dress shoes, then we recommend ordering a US10.5 in these. For a comparison to our dress shoes, this size would correspond to a 10.5 in the Alden Aberdeen last, a 10D in the Alden Barrie or Tru-Balance last, and a 9.5UK in most Carmina lasts. Many of our customers also tend to wear the same size in these as they would in a Converse Jack Purcell or Vans Authentic - which can be a useful comparison for getting fitted locally.

These are not Margielas.
