Sterling silver Baker's Pointer Pencil, hallmarked. The propel/repel mechanism is in working condition. The barrel is stamped with a lion, "Baker's pointer pencil patents 7985 & 144966 RDNo 5-6825 sterling silver". The end of the pencil is stamped “RD No 565713”. A different number as it unscrews to reveal the lead reservoir and there is a lead sharpener in the end. 
There are 2 photographs to demonstrate how the leads are fitted. First unscrew the nozzle. The mechanism has an ejector rod which expels the residual lead (indicated by arrow). To fit the new lead (1.8mm) retract the ejector pin and push in the new lead which is secured by the lead carrier. Then refit the nozzle.
The pencil comes with a glass tube containing 4 full finest quality offer X leads for no 501 511 523 pencils B - length 101mm, & 1 shorter lead 64mm long. The diameter of the leads are 1.8mm.
