This is the Classic Harris Tweed Cap, hand made from hand woven fabric on the Scottish island of Harris.  With Harris Tweed label of certification from The Harris Tweed Authority.  Harris Tweed is dyed and woven on the island of Harris in the Outer Hebrides.  This wind swept island has some of the hardyest sheep in the world.  The wool from these sheep has the extraordinary propensity when woven of being almost entirely waterproof.  The outer wool of the sheep is wiry and long this disperses the water over the fabric, the inner layers of wool on the sheep create depth and then warmth.  Top coat, coat and waistcoat all from the same sheep.  Then dyed and hand woven in the crofts.  Each Cap is uniquely different and each cap will have its own feel and identity.  Looking at the colours of the cap you will see a multitude of natural colours, influenced from the wild natural environment from where they come. Natural, Hand Made, Hand Woven.  BRAND NEW
