Custom built, high quality DIY tube amp chassis,  hand crafted in the USA.  Made from .0625" aluminum, including bottom panel with 13/16" thick solid Walnut hardwood sides.  Includes all stainless steel hardware for a totally non-magnetic enclosure.  Ready to step it up on your next tube amp project?  Try out one of these...

Dimensions (outer) :   13"  X  10"  X  2".

Solid 13/16" thick Walnut side panels have been hand sanded through 150 grit.  Most of the work is already done on these.  Just finish sanding down to 220 or 320 and finish with a natural oil finish like Watco, which is very easy to apply.  The 5th pic shows a Cherry (top) and Walnut (bottom) sides.

All stainless steel hardware included -

Top - (4) #4 x 1/2" oval head

Bottom - (4) 4-40 x 1/4",  (4) #4 x 1/2"

The aluminum case and bottom panel have been sanded/prepped  and are ready for primer/paint, powder coating, polishing, or use it as is.   Holes on the top have been countersunk for the oval head screws to give a smooth appearance.  Holes on the bottom panel mounting flanges are tapped for the #4-40 screws.   All edges have been "knocked down" and slightly radiused.  The enclosure is VERY rigid when assembled and will support all the iron you can fit on it.

You could pay about half as much for a Hammond box, with a bottom panel, for a similar size.   The "open" seams and visible spot welds just never really look at home on an audio rack next to high $$ components.   I've been pleased with the results, and gotten great feedback on the strength and appearance of this chassis design.   The last 2 pictures show a PP EL84 amp and a preamp that were built using a standard 13" x 10" x 2".

This chassis is sturdy and large enough to support most 6V6 or EL84 sized transformer sets for single-ended and push-pull stereo designs as well as some single-ended stereo octal based EL34, 6L6 types.  Also great size for a preamp project.  Pick up a pair and build a matching amp/preamp or use for your dual mono project!  The aluminum is easy to drill, punch, cut, file or nibble to accomodate your design.

Complete wood finishing service can be purchased for an additional $15 and includes hand sanding down to 400 grit, 2 to 3 applications of oil finish/wet sanded @ 600 and 1000 grit and finished off with a wax/1500 grit wet sand.

These are all hand made in small runs, so don't wait too long to purchase.  Once they're gone it may be a while before the next build!

Custom sizes for any project can be made to order, just drop me a line with your requirements/dimensions and I'll get you a quote.  Turn-around time is usually 1-1.5 weeks.  Hardwood types are limited to what's currently on-hand, but I do have access to exotics and other types.  Special order woods will cost a bit more, for example, Wenge, Bolivian Rosewood and Zebrawood are going for about $20/board foot.  But if you really want the nice stuff, and don't mind spending a few more $$'s, then I'd be happy to build one up for you!   The 7th picture shows a special order 19"x 10"x 3" with a standard 13"x 10"x 2" sitting on top.

If buying more than one, I will combine shipping to get you the lowest shipping cost possible.
