Chassis / Interior

Very good exterior, the car was restored 11 years ago at an MG specialist,  there are a few very small bubbles here and there but generally very good as you can see from the photo’s [this is always the case with a 40 year old car and I am just trying to be honest] The chrome work is outstanding

Immaculate interior with outstanding black leather seats with lovely patina

Inertia reel belts

De-luxe carpet set

Immaculate dash and clocks, all controls functioning etc

Brand new soft top and nice half tonneau

1 key for all locks, no fumbling with different keys for doors and boot

Wheels are in excellent condition, new rear tyres and new stainless wheel nuts

Telescopic adjustable rear damper conversion makes a big difference to the handling

Stainless Steel exhaust system

Recent fuel tank

Very good brakes with recent callipers and short travel on the pedal, very good handbrake

Engine

Exchange unleaded engine, doesn’t smoke or burn oil, no rattles

It starts first crank and idles very smoothly and the unit has a spin on oil filter

Gearbox

3 syncro gearbox, 1^st gear being of the spur variety whines, as does reverse, no crunches on shifts 2^nd – 3^rd and 4^th up or downchange

The auction is to buy the car, not come and kick the tyres and go away
