Trilogy
, pubblicato nel 1972 , è il terzo album realizzato in studio dal
gruppo di rock progressivo Inglese degli Emerson, Lake & Palmer. La
copertina , disegnata da Hipgnosis , raffigura Emerson, Lake e Palmer,
mentre l'interno del manicotto originale , apribile , è dotato di un
fotomontaggio che mostra più immagini della band nella Epping Forest
tappezzata di foglie d'autunno. Trilogy ha aumentato la popolarità
mondiale degli ELP, includendo "Hoedown", un'arrangiamento della
composizione di Aaron Copland, che era una delle canzoni più popolari
nelle loro performing live.

and a sound demonstrationin comparison to a regularly mastered track
will be provided for the K2HD (High Definition) Mastering
Technology.This technology offers fidelity to the master tracks, the
outcome of the sensitivity and technique of mastering engineers, by
using 24-bit high-resolution information, and a wide frequency range
that extends up to 100 kHz,based on K2HD coding technology. Victor
Entertainment Inc. has taken K2HD mastering beyond its own label CDs,
and aims to expand high-quality CD sound based on FLAIR mastering
service used in the Victor Studio by offering the service to other music
companies around the world.
Emerson, Lake & Palmer, band
formatosi nel 1970, hanno costituito uno dei primi e più celebri
supergruppi di rock progressivo. La band è composta da Keith Emerson
(tastiere ) , Greg Lake ( basso, voce , chitarra) e Carl Palmer (
batteria, percussioni) . Negli anni 1970 il nome del gruppo compariva
sulle copertine dei loro album come Emerson Lake & Palmer, senza
virgola, o semplicemente come ELP. Dopo la reunion, negli anni 1990
hanno adottato la grafia Emerson, Lake & Palmer.
Il suono degli
ELP è dominato dall'organo Hammond e dal sintetizzatore Moog del
fiammeggiante Emerson . Le varie composizioni della band sono fortemente
influenzate dalla musica classica , oltre che dal jazz e - almeno nei
loro primi anni - dall'hard rock . Molti dei loro pezzi sono
arrangiamenti tratti , o contengono citazioni , dalla musica classica , e
si può dire per adattarsi al sotto-genere del rock sinfonico .
Si tratta di una epocale tecnologia di mastering in grado di ricopiate e ritrasmettere l'originale ed attraente qualità sonora delle sorgenti master su ogni mezzo di comunicazione , con delle informazioni di ben ampia gamma di frequenza , fino a 100kHz , e una risoluzione a 24 bit basata sulla tecnologia di codifica K2 High Definition.
In caso di masterizzazione di un CD , si può realizzare una più alta qualità audio confezionando le informazioni CD Master a 44,1 kHz e 16 bit in formato 192kHz e 24 bit.
Il risultato finale di questa tecnologia dipende molto dalle fonti principali.
* Nel caso di fonti Master completate come "Masters analogiche" con un attraente suono originale , si può mantenere tutte le informazioni contenute nelle fonti master senza recare alcuna variazione.
* Nel caso di fonti master digitali ( 3/4U-matic , DAT , ecc ), in cui l'informazione o la qualità del suono è già cambiato rispetto ai master originali , si può riprodurre un suono molto vicino a quello originale .
* Nel caso di fonti master che hanno bisogno di una maggiore qualità del suono , per la realizzazione si può intervenire in modo attivo e creativo .
" K2HD MASTERING " richiede ai tecnici di avere una comprovata capacità nella gestione delle attrezzature conoscendo bene il carattere speciale di " K2 High Definition Coding " , per far fronte alle varie situazioni , quali lo status dei formati master forniti, nel giudicare la qualità del suono , e utilizzare il migliore approccio a seconda delle condizioni dei generi musicali e dei contenuti.
" K2HD MASTERING " può esistere solo grazie all'alta specializzazione degli ingegneri , all'alto giudizio sulla qualità del suono e alle alte competenze che sono in grado di coniugare al meglio il suono proveniente dalle sorgenti master .

Nel caso di CD , è possibile ottenere informazioni a 192kHz e 24 bit dal formato a 44,1 kHz e 16 bit .
La tecnologia K2 ( K2 technology )
Nel 1987 JVC e la Victor Musical Industries hanno iniziato a cooperare tra loro per migliorare la qualità del suono digitale sviluppando questa "K2 technology" come l'originale di JVC .

In case of CD mastering, it can realize very high sound quality CD which never existed before by packing the information of 192kHz and 24bit in CD master format of 44.1kHz and 16bit.

*In case of completed master sources such as "Analog Masters" with attractive original sound, it can keep all the information included in the master sources without any change.
