Tammis Keefe Bio:
Tammis Keefe was born in 1920 and worked as a textile designer during the 1940s and 1950s. Ms. Keefe began her career with Kimbal in 1953. Tammis Keefe is the undisputed best Handkerchief Designer of her time with her hankies and textiles being one of the most sought after collectible in the Market. Her designs were typically of the 1950's era full of Color, Whimsy and reflected her outlook on life and her travels! Not that much was known about Tammis, but I read somewhere that during the final years she lived with Jane Trahey who wrote the book that became a Disney classic "The Trouble with Angels". I loved that movie and think maybe it's just another insight into yet one more of the important influences that defined this wonderful textile artist's body of work. Tammis Keefe was taken way too soon at the age of 47, but while she was with us, She made hundreds of designs that we can all still enjoy! She is now and will always be one of my personal designer favorites! Way to go Tammis! Way to Go!
Please be advised that my husband and I live in the United States (I'm American) AND New Zealand (He's a Kiwi) so shipping will always be first class from wherever I am but could be coming from New Zealand or America depending on where I am at the time of purchase. There is no tracking when I'm in New Zealand and it usually takes 6-10 days to arrive at your address in States.
Shipping is $2.50 for first hanky and .50 each additional hanky. Overseas shipping is $3.00 for first hankie and $1 for each additional hankie. SHIPPING IS BY FIRST CLASS OR AIR MAIL. Always a fair and square shipper! Sales are final with No Returns.
All my Hankies and Linens have been Cleaned, Starched and Ironed unless they still have the original tag attached. In the case of tags on Hankies or Linens the washing is in the hands of the new owner to preserve the Originality of the Item.
All Hankies or Linens have been inspected for Tears, Holes or Fraying and are clear of these Issues unless otherwise, indicated in description. Please keep in mind that I only deal in "AUTHENTIC" vintage Linens and Hankies So please if a mistake is made it was not Intentional!
Vintage Textiles, always have a certain amount of normal Wear and Tear, that sometimes includes PIN HOLES where the price tag was pinned to the hanky originally. If I see anything to note I NOTE it! My standards are High and I never want you to have anything that I would not personally want in my collection.
