Chessex Pound O Dice are "FACTORY SECONDS", this is stated on their website. Chessex.com/Dice/poundofdice.htm This includes mostly dice that are overspills in the factory but also may contain rejects, misshaped and even malformed dice and dice that don't even make it through the complete manufacturing process (no pips for example). Although it is not very common, if you read many of the reviews online you will see people do occasionally get those very undesirable dice. BUT Pound O Dice may also include many desirable dice which may also include some of the high priced dice that Chessex makes. I am not a dice collector myself but I can tell you my supply of Chessex Pound O Dice is always fresh. I get a restock weekly that come directly from Chessex through not one, but two of their authorized distributors. I am the biggest Pound o Dice seller on eBay and I sell on other venues as well. I sell over 100 pounds of dice weekly on average. I have absolutely no control of what contents are in each sealed bag. I will never ship a bag that is ripped and I always make sure the "special dice" package is in every bag while packing.
There are absolutely no returns on opened bags of dice because of the nature of the product.
