SHIRLEY TEMPLE BLACK WAS A BELOVED CHILD-HOOD AMERICAN ACTRESS. SHE CHEERED THE AMERICAN PUBLIC DURING THE GREAT DEPRESSION WITH HER PRECOCIOUS CURLS AND TAP DANCING. IN FACT, THE LITTLE SIX YEAR OLD WAS SOULY RESPONSIBLE FOR SAVING 20TH CENTURY FOX MOVIE STUDIOS FROM GOING BANKRUPT!
BORN IN 1928, SHE EVENTUALLY BECAME A US DELEGATE TO THE UNITED NATIONS. SHE ALSO BECAME AMBASSADOR TO THE REPULBIC OF GHANA, AS WELL AS THE CZECH AND SLOVAK FEDERAL REPUBLICS!
SHIRLEY WILL LIVE IN OUR HEARTS FOREVER AS THE ADORABLE LITTLE GIRL WITH DIMPLES, WHO DANCED HER WAY INTO OUR HEARTS AND SOULS DURING THE DEPRESSION ERA THROUGH PRESENT TIME, TO MAKE US FORGET ABOUT OUR SOMETIMES AWFUL WORLDLY WOES!
A beautiful Shirley Temple doll with shiny-blond mohair wig with MULTIPLE, sausage curls intact! Original royal blue, silk hair ribbon intact!
She comes with her original ShirleyTemple pin with writing on the side!
Beautiful, even composition with a light, sparse craze line here and there.
Shirley’s crisp jumper dress retains its bright, royal blue & white, checkered color! Her bodice is made of organdy. The organdy, ruffled material embellishing the front of her dress is accented with 5 red embroidered apples with green stems! There’s pleated organdy along her neckline (just like the Blue Bird dress with red, felt vest)! The ruffled, organdy panel extends down the front of her dress from underneath her collar! There’s also pleated, ruffle organdy above her short, puffy sleeves!
There are two long streamers from her waistline in the rear! The streamers are attached underneath her ruffled, organdy, apple panel in the front of her dress!
Her back closure is trimmed in organdy and there’s two, white, thin, pearl buttons! Her bright, rayon, S.T. tag is completely intact. It’s folded in half, and sewn in underneath her button. Her dress also has the #20 tag sewn into her rear dress seam. There is a wide hemline at the bottom of the dress.
Her crisp onsie has its #20 tag sewn inside of the rear, skirt seam! The onsie skirt has its pleats intact! It’s trimmed with Belgium Val Lace. Her panties are attached also trimmed in stiff, Belgium Val Lace!
Adorable vintage, knit, blue and white beret accented with a white ball. It certainly looks like it's from that time period!
Her original ST pin, with writing on the side, is excellent with no rust underneath it!
Original, leatherette, ecru-colored, ST shoes in excellent condition! Original tight, ecru-colored, nylon socks in unlaundered condition.
Nice cheek and coral lip color with no chips.
Full upper, sable-colored, human-hair lashes! Bright, lower painted lashes. Triple feathered eyebrows and accented nostrils. Eye open-shut mechanism works very nicely. Dark, hazel eyes have crystallized (darker than shown in photos).
Over-all very nice composition with original, even finish (no broken fingers), with light, sparse, spider crazing here and there. Adorable dimples and cupped fingers (like she wants to hold your hand)!
20 inches/ 50.8CM in height, five-piece composition body. The nape of her head is stamped clearly in raised letters, "Shirley Temple, Ideal". Her back is also stamped in raised letters, "Shirley Temple".
