1930 Chicago Cubs Program/Scorecard - The wind must have been blowing out at Wrigley when the Cubs and Pirates squared off in this Sunday afternoon game in early August.  The clubs combined for 29 hits, and Pittsburgh came away with a 12-8 victory.

Charlie Root was tagged for 10 of the Pirates runs in 7 2/3 innings, including a two-run homer by catcher Al Bool and took his 11th loss of the season.  Pittsburgh starter Erv Brame went the distance in spite of giving up eight runs and 14 hits, including Hack Wilson's 35th homer of the season.  Adam Comorsky and Gus Suhr each knocked in three runs for the Bucs.
