Rare Old Antique Apothecary Wooden Pill Box Silverer

Made of wood, in round form.
Apothecaries having fashioned their pills would coat them with silver or gold by placing them in these containers with a silver or gold powder. Gently rolling the pills within the sealed sphere with a gum resin would cover them, ready for bottling.

Measures are about: 4 1/2" High,3 1/2" Diameter
Condition:Peeled Paint  and Varnish;
