Here is a beautiful large oil on canvas by Nikol or Nikolaus Schattenstein, Russian, (1877- 1954). Its signed on back not in painting. I do not know with 100% certainty that it is his work, the style is and the age is correct. The estate it came from were an old Russian couple that had several paintings of this style and period. I was glad to get this one, its an incredibly well executed oil painting in great condition, no damage or repairs.

  

    It measures  30 by 24 and overall framed 34 by 28. I did not take the frame off to see if there was a signature under the frame. I just took it as is and dusted it off.
