The Montane Featherlite Trail Jacket replaces the original Marathon running jacket and is windproof, ultra lightweight, and highly breathable, so it is much more comfortable to wear than even the most breathable waterproof jacket which feels clammy and sweaty in comparison.

Made from high quality Wind Barrier Dynamic high performance, durable, soft nylon fabric with four way stretch which is completely windproof so it stops the discomfort associated with a cool wind. Fast drying and with a Durable Water Repellent DWR finish, it will shed a light shower and maintain breathability in damp conditions. The stretch fabric, combined with careful tailoring enables easy, dynamic upper body movement whilst you are running.

Weighing in at only 107 gms (3.8 oz) for size M this is an impressive high performance jacket ideal for runners wishing to reduce wind chill whilst wanting to retain maximum breathability for the removal of body moisture. If your t-shirt gets soaked through when you run up that hill/mountain so you wonder wether it is worth bothering with a waterproof coat, then the Trail is the jacket for you.

Part of the Via Trail series, the Montane Trail is a lightweight alternative to a waterproof jacket. With a full length zip it is great at keeping out the wind. The Trail is compact and light enough to carry with you at all times. Unless you are caught out in a sustained downpour the Trail will be sufficiently shower resistant to keep you comfortable.

Montane Trail Running Jacket Features:

Wind Barrier Dynamic fabric has four way stretch for ease of movement and is extra lightweight, quick drying, highly breathable and completely windproof.

Raglan sleeves with stretch fabric give excellent freedom of movement. Note that there is no stitching on top of the shoulders to give optimum comfort when carrying a hydration rucksack for example.

Uderarm vents aid cooling when working hard;

Highly Breathable.

Water repellent with an excellent DWR (Durable Water Repellant) surface finish.

Windproof - air permeability of less than 1.00cc.

Inside the collar, next to the chin a fine brushed micro-fleece gives additional comfort;

Active cut with drop tail for butt protection and unrestricted leg movement.

A tailored fit, combined with the stretch fabric gives ease of movement when running.

Full length YKK, self locking front zip enable the zip to be locked into postion at the level of ventilation selected. There is a rear anti-snag / wind baffle which is designed to keep out the weather.

Elasticated cuffs with thumb loops to help protect your hands from wind and cold and give a neat look.

Bottom hem with elasticated draw cord & adjustment toggle which can be tightened with one hand. This keeps out drafts and minimises heat loss.

Washing Instructions:

As with all MONTANE® clothing, PERTEX® fabric is treated with a Durable Water Repellency (DWR) as the first barrier to keeping you dry.
Clean your garment in order to maintain this.
Machine wash in warm water at 40C/104F with a mild soap.
MONTANE® recommends that you use Nikwax Tech Wash.
DO NOT use fabric softeners or bleach.
It may be required every 6 months or so to reproof the garment to restore its water repellency. MONTANE® recommends Nikwax TX Direct.

Montane Fit: Active Mountain, meaning a general mountain fit but where garment adjustments such as the adjustable hem enable a closer body fit. As a rough guide, your usual size should be OK for this jacket which is designed for active people so some may find it a little on the slim side.
