The Sprayway Grendel Wind Stopper Gore-Tex Warm Winter Hooded Jacket. This versatile Jacket uses a Gore-Tex Windproof Membrane which is highly breathable so the inside of the jacket does not feel clammy when exercising. The material allows your sweat to escape so you can stay dry and comfortable during outdoor sports activities.  Features include underarm stretch side panels for easy movement when mountaineering / climbing.  Raglan style sleeves for easy movement with minimum hem lift.  Also with no seam on top of the shoulders, excellent comfort when carrying a rucksack is assured.  The hood is excellent with a high specification including wire peak, non whip face aperture draw cords with concealed toggle, quality volume adjuster with elasticated cord and toggle at the back which enables the hood to be clamped to your head so that when you look from side to side, the hood moves with you giving all round vision and finally a roll away feature with velcro fastening. The internal chest pocket doubles up as a stuff sack enabling the jacket to be turned into a neat pillow which can be stashed away when not required this is great for backpacking, travel and camping.

• This garment meets Gore's exacting standards.

• Inso/Therm high loft insulation used throughout with 80 gms per square metre in the body and 60 gms in the arms.

• Underarm stretch panels with micro-fleece inner enable easy movement during outdoor sports activities such as climbing / skiing / mountaineering.
  
• Designed for mountain outdoor sports, this jacket has a back length of 71cm for size M with enough room for further winter layering.
• Slight drop tail for butt protection at the back and unrestricted leg movement at the front.
• Reasonabley Lightweight at only 533 gms (18.8 oz) for size Medium.
• Napoleon style chest pocket, large enough for a map with zip fastening and taffeta lining.
  
• YKK zips used throughout.
• Two zipped side pockets positioned high enough to give unrestricted access when wearing a large rucksack with padded hip belt. The nylon taffeta lined pockets are tough and durable to prevent holes forming.
• Internal chest pocket on the right side is an excellent location for your mobile phone. This pocket also doubles as a stuff sack enabling the whole jacket to be reversed into the pocket which can be zipped up to form a neat pillow which is great for travel / backpacking / camping.
  
• Full length YKK front zip with internal storm flap.
• Cuffs are made from a very nice stretch fabric.
• The bottom hem has an elasticated draw cord front and back. There is a toggle on each side at which the elastic can be tightened with one hand to keep out the drafts.
• Hood with wired peak attached which can be rolled away using a velcro tab when not in use.
• The mountain hood has a reinforced wired peak to keep out driving rain. The hood also features an excellent system for adjusting the elasticated draw cord around the face aperture. A hidden toggle can be held down between finger and thumb whilst the elasticised cord is adjusted, fabric guides prevent the cord from being whipped into your face by the wind.
  
• The volume adjuster at the back of your head which enables an internal elasticised cord to be tightened, allows the hood can be clamped to your head so that it turns as you turn giving good all round vision.
• Chin guard with beardguard trim (similar to micro-fleece) on the internal storm flap gives excellent comfort on your face. This stops your beard or skin from being caught in the zip.
• There is a hang loop at the back.

• Machine wash in warm water at 30C/86F with Nikwax Tech Wash or Grangers equivalent.
• Alternatively you can hand wash in Dreft.
• Rinse.
• Re-proof with the appropriate Nikwax or Grangers product if necessary.
• Drip dry.
• DO NOT use fabric softeners or bleach.
• Never dry clean.
• Cool iron only

You can focus on your experience without the distraction of being cold, damp or overheated. Windstopper active shell is the lightest most packable Windstopper fabric technology.

Inso/Therm high loft insulation offers superb warmth without weight with a very high warmth to weight ratio. This fabric dries very quickly, wicks away perspiration extremely well and is made from 100% fluffy polyester. The main body has 80 grams per square metre and the sleeves have 60 gms/sqm.

Fit: Sprayway say this jacket has a Mountain fit / sizing.  It is fairly slim fitting but with enough room underneath for an extra layer for difficult cold weather conditions and yet isn't too bulky so a waterproof hard shell jacket will fit over the top in foul wet weather.  Your usual Marks and Spencer size should fit OK.
