VTG BARBOUR BURGHLEY MADE IN ENGLAND Jacket 36 (44” Ext chest)

 

For Barbour fans, a true vintage wax cotton style in the form of the Burghley/Stockman. Ideal wet weather jacket made in England. All further details below:

Fabric: Wax Cotton (100% Cotton); 85% Cotton inner lining (minimum)

 

- Barbour branded zip front fastening

- Cord covered outer collar and throat tab

- Storm double placket popper fasten

- Popper adjustable cuffs

- Placket zipped pocket

- 2 lower pockets with storm flaps

- Inner patch pocket

- Raglan sleeve

- Rear centre hem vent with 2 popper fastening

- Inner leg stirrups near the hem

- Check inner to upper section and arms

 

How to choose your size: Please DO NOT solely rely on the listed size for your correct fit.  Designers often use different measurements for sizes depending on the overall look they desire, so sizes can not only vary brand to brand but also within the same brand. Also, for vintage and pre-worn items the shape may have changed after years of being worn. The best way to ensure your correct fit is to compare the measurements listed to an item that fits you well.

 

External measurements (please check against a similar garment of your own that fits you well, measuring flat on a flat surface):

 

Chest (pit to pit x2 for full chest measurement): 44” (111.5cm)

Hem (x2 for full hem measurement): 52” (132cm)

Arm length (from shoulder point seam to cuff hem): 29” (73.5cm)

Full length (from centre back neck seam to hem): 48.5” (123cm)

 

This is a vintage jacket in well used condition. The wax cotton is worn and crinkled. Slight discolouration throughout the jacket due to use with abrasions throughout. There is a hole in the outer fabric on the right upper chest. There are heavy, zip pattered abrasions in the centre back and the third popper down is broken and will not fasten, please see all pictures.

 

All my vintage listings unless otherwise stated are true vintage and have been worn before, therefore they will typically show signs of wear and will not smell like new, which is all part of the vintage look and appeal.
