ANTIQUE VICTORIAN CUT STEEL BEADED STRIPED KNITTED MISERS STOCKING PURSE c1840









Description

  Wonderful antique early Victorian misers or stocking purse, which has been produced from blue and taupe stripped knitted fabric, heavily beaded with cut steel beads. The purse has matching steel rings, with a central slit, which allows access to each end, which could then be secured via the two rings. Each end has been finished with a matching steel beaded tassel fringe.

CONDITION
The purse is in a very good condition, with no loss to the beads or damage to the fabric, although there 
is some discolouration to the beads and rings
