A 5 page engraving illustrated article from a rare 1891 Victorian periodical the article is entitled "Up a Shot Tower"

Very interesting old article full of information about the process for making lead gun shot in the tower near the south end of Waterloo bridge in London - it also briefly discusses the mining of Antimony to harden the shot

Engraved illustrations include-

  • The shot tower
  • At the bottom of the tower
  • Feeding the melting pot
  • Running the lead
  • London from the shot tower
  • Sifting
  • weighing

Please note these are pages extracted from a rare disbound Victorian publication, there are no covers and there may be extracts from other articles at the start or end

Whilst the images show the article in its still bound state, the article will be sent as loose pages.

Some pages may be showing signs of foxing / browning due to the age of the paper
