For sale is an excellent 80's Ovation Ultra GS solid body electric guitar. This instrument is Ovation's take on a strat style guitar and fits the era of its manufacture to a T. With it's all black, partially German carved body, heavy duty bridge with fine tuners, and screaming hot bridge humbucker this guitar was made for high octane rock n' roll. At 9lbs this behemoth lends itself to fantastic levels of ringing sustain that lasts and lasts. Tonally it is vibrant and responsive, with almost typical strat tones but with a definite edge and accelerated response and bite. The real kicker is the bridge humbucker, which hits you like a freight train with it's biting treble accompanied by it's full bodied tone. Cosmetically the guitar is in very good condition, some of the screws have oxidized and there are a few scratches that have dug into the finish along the backside of the guitar. This is a great guitar with tons of feel and is incredibly versatile all for a great price.
