Garton Big-Pilot watch

This is our funkiest pilot style watch and has something of the Salvador Dali about it. We just love those big, oversized numerals. The horological irony is the watch itself is as svelte as 'big pilot' style usually get, with a very slim profile and a nicely rounded case.
The back features a very elegant glass caseback to display its nicely finished 6498 hand-winding movement and the watch features a slim, dress-watch style black strap.
Unusually, the small-seconds dial is mounted at 12 o'clock.
If you like big-pilot or aviator style watches and you fancy something a little funky which is not too big, then this is the ideal watch for you.
Note: it's a leftie, so crown is on... the left!

All of our watches are in stock and have been QC'ed by us. We dispatch within 48 hour (usually 24) using tracked Special Delivery and if you have any concerns you can simply email us.
DON'T ORDER FROM CHINA! It's a pain in the bum, there's a good chance you'll get stung by customs for VAT and duty and good luck if anything goes wrong with it!

Important Information on Mechanical Watches
If this is your first mechanical watch then CONGRATULATIONS for joining the land of the living! Welcome to the joy of owning a real, live ticking timepiece, a watch with a soul, not a nasty battery-powered robot. First off, let's go through a few basics:
Although a lot more lovable than quartz watches mechanical watches are sadly not as accurate. Expect your watch to gain or lose a little time each day: it's part of the fun!
Hand-winds (e.g. 6497) will need setting and winding every day, but again, like shaving, most people learn to enjoy it. Automatics wind themselves as you move but even then still run out of juice often unless you have a many-thousands of pounds Swiss one. Don't be surprised with a sedentary job if you need to wind 'em every day.

Returns
All our watches are QC'ed in the UK so it's unlikely you'll have to return one but if you do please retain the original packaging and mail it back to us within 14 days of receiving it. If it's unworn and undamaged we will refund you (minus shipping costs).
If your item is damaged on arrival you must notify us within 24 hours of receipt. After shipping it back to us we will refund your postage via Paypal then ship you another (or refund you at our discretion).

Warranty
This watch is offered with a 1 year limited-liability manufacturer's warranty. Here's the small print:
Does not cover cosmetic damage (scratches, etc).
Does not cover damage to case, strap/bracelet or crystal.
Does not cover accidental damage.

Shipping
International buyers are responsible for paying any customs, duty and tax charges applicable.
Most of our orders arrive within 24 hours in the UK. We don't guarantee it, but we try. We send everything Special Delivery by Royal Mail, which is tracked and insured (hence the £7.15 postage charge). Exceptions are for things bought Friday to Sunday, or international items, of course.
