Sapodilla, Nispero, Sapote

This offer is for a 6-10 inch plant in a four inch pot.

  • Culture: Grow in full sun and well drained soil. Water regularly and fertilize four times a year. Grows well with high humidity as well as drier conditions.

 

 		 
     The Sapodilla tree is native to the Yucatan and West Indies and is now grown throughout the tropics, subtropics, and warmer Mediterranean regions. It has great ornamental  value as well as being a highly productive tree. The fruit has a unique and delicious flavor that tastes like a pear that has been dipped in brown sugar. The fruits are most often eaten fresh, but they are also great in milk shakes and smoothies. The fruit size varies between the size of a large egg to the size of a tennis ball. Trees do very will in the landscape in South Florida as well as in pots that can be brought in during cold spells.

    

 

SHIPPING & PACKAGING:

All Plant orders are shipped USPS Priority Mail. You will be charged actual freight for the package plus $2.00 to cover packaging materials  - Mainly packing peanuts and labels. This charge is per order not per plant so the more plants you buy the better the deal on shipping.

A shipping discount is available for multiple items bought within one week and paid for on the same invoice. If you haven't paid for a purchase because you are planning on buying more items please let me know. When you have completed all your purchases ask me for an updated invoice.  Please wait for me to combine all of your items onto a single invoice before you pay. Ebay's shipping calculations are not always accurate especially if you have purchased both seeds and plants. If you think there is a mistake check with me first.

  • Orders are shipped the first Monday or Tuesday after payment is received and cleared. (E-checks take up to a week to clear)
  • Any orders paid for after 11:00am Eastern time on Tuesday will be sent the following Monday or Tuesday.
