Sound Clip 1

A very inexpensive way to get a Low D flute. All the hard work is done with this unfinished Native Style American flute. The flute is routed and shaped inside and already glued together.  These flutes blanks are made in the USA and are pre-shaped, assembled and tuned and they can be played right out of the box as received. The fipple hole is cut, the finger holes are already spaced out and drilled.

These are made of Alaskan Yellow Cedar for its tone, quality and ease to work with.

All that you need to do is some finish sanding and smoothing of the body and some filing and final shaping of the mouth piece end of the flute.  The block can be cut, shaped or carved as you desire but will play as received. Add some finish or oil and you are ready to go. Decorate with beads or feathers as you see fit.

Comes with the pre-assembled unfinished flute, animal block, and fingering charts and instructions can be downloaded from my website.

You will need sand paper, fine steel wool and a leather tie.
Other optional things you would need are wood finish, almond oil, beads, feathers, etc.

This is a large flute and not all people can comfortable play a flute this long.
