Favero Electronics
manufactures the bePRO power meter, a pedal-based power meter. The bePRO
is a dual-sided system with a power meter located on each pedal and takes power
from both legs in order to determine total power. The power meter provides
power from 0 to 2,000 watts and cadence from 30-180 RPM. The bePRO is the most
affordable dual-sided system on the market.
Why bePRO
Light – Using high tech content and
cutting-edge materials, the weight of the sensor is only 16 grams, making the
power meter extremely light. The total weight of each pedal is only 156 grams.
Rechargable – The bePRO power meter is always
ready for use. Its rechargeable lithium-ion batteries have a 30-hour life,
regardless of whether you are racing or training.
Reliable – The power meter is reliable in
even the most extreme conditions as proved by the rigorous quality tests
it successfully passed: impact, drop, wear, water, temperature and
humidity tests.
Compatible – Thanks to the ANT+ technology, the
pedals are compatible with the best cycling computers available on
the market. The power meter software ensures reliable data transmission from
the power meter to any commercially available device.
Easy to install – You can install the power meter on
your bike by yourself in just a few minutes, without the assistance of a
mechanic, without needing to modify the transmission, remove the wheels, or
install external sensors.
Accurate – Provided with an advanced compensation system, the bePRO can take accurate and reliable measures in any environmental condition, with a margin of error of only 2%.
Which is the difference between the bePRO and bePRO S?
bePRO is the complete solution with power measurement on both pedals. bePRO S is the entry level solution with power measurement only on the left pedal. In this case, the right pedal is not equipped with the electronic meter.
Can I upgrade my bePRO S to the complete version?
Yes. All you have to do is purchase the upgrade kit.
Which bicycle computers are compatible with bePRO?
bePRO transmits information through the ANT+ protocol and has been tested with the most common bicycle computers on the market. We recommend using a recent computer and upgrading the firmware according to the instructions given by the manufacturer for best performance.
It seems that the bePRO Q-factor is greater than other competitors. Is that true?
No, the bePRO Q-factor is 54 mm and can imperceptibly vary depending on the final position of the nut when the installation occurs.
Which crankarms are compatible with bePRO power meter?
bePRO is compatible with the most commonly used crankarms with a 9/16″-20 TPI thread and a thickness of at least 12 mm.
Is bePRO supplied with cleats?
Yes. bePRO (and bePRO S) is supplied with red cleats (6° float) and fasteners. Black cleats (0°) are available as spare parts.
Which cleats are compatible with the bePRO?
Use bePRO original cleats for best performance.
Do I have to continue to use a cadence sensor or can I remove it?
bePRO calculates and sends the cadence automatically; an additional cadence sensor is not necessary.
How long does the bePRO battery last?
bePRO’s internal lithium-ion battery provides up to 30 hours of life when fully charged.
