Beautifully polished natural Jet round beads 6mm across, temporarily strung on a 15.5" strand.
Jet is a beautiful stone for use alone and as accents in designs. It is especially beautiful when paired with gold, silver, amber, clear quartz, and crystal.
Jet is a stone belonging to the organic gemstones category, along with pearls, amber and coral. It is formed from fossilized wood, formed by the submersion of driftwood in the mud of the seafloor for millions of years until it compacted and fossilized. Jet is also known as black amber although it is not actually amber. This jet was mined in Mongolia and shaped in China.

Metaphysical Attributes:
Jet traditionally is used to dispel fearful thoughts. It brings calm and can diminish depression. It is a good stone for protection against illness and violence and is also protective in business and enhances the financial stability. Jet works with all chakras, but especialy aligns the base chakra and stimulates the awakening of the Kundalini. When placed on the upper body it helps the Kundalini move toward the crown.
