DESCRIPTION: Beautiful Chinese hand painted porcelain rice / soup / serving bowls. The Lucky bowls have yellow, blue and red geometric cloud design borders inside the rim with 3 bats in the middle. They have red bands on the outside by the rim and pedestal base. They feature 4 images of Dragons, Phoenixes and Flaming Pearls in red, blue, green and yellow. They all vary somewhat in decoration and condition. You could consider them 2 sets of two as two match each other more than the other two in color and decoration. Great color and textural interest. MARKINGS: Unmarked. It appears that whatever maker’s marks they may have had on the bottom are worn off. There are some raised letters under the glaze on the bottom, but the only one that is readable has No 21. See the photos.
AGE: Circa early to mid 1900s.
ORIGIN: Made in China.
DIMENSIONS: Approx. 6.75” Diameter X 2.2” Tall.
CONDITION: Good to Very Good previously owned vintage condition. Free of damage. However, they do show the signs of wear and age that you may expect in 50 to 100 year old porcelain pieces that have seen use including loss of finish, scratches, dirt, marks, etc. Also, these hand made and painted pieces do have imperfections from when they were made and painted.
