This is the 2002 debut press kit for the Ford GT40, what would later become known as the Ford GT supercar. Debuted at the 2002 Detroit Auto Show, the Ford GT40 concept car was met with excitement and optimistic reviews which led to the production of the 2005 – 2006 Ford GT.
This press kit is a rare piece of Ford history. It contains four sections (Overview, Living Legend, Design, Engineering) of printed press releases a thumbnail sheet a CD-ROM containing 94 high resolution Images including 21 historical of the original GT40 featuring Dan Gurney, Mario Andretti and AJ Foyt. Also included are three photographic slides for editorial/publication use.
The media kit measures 13" x 9" and is printed on glossy, heavy paper stock.
