Although sold in the 1970's by J & J Cash, this Pure Silk Black and White Picture was actually made in France by Neyret Freres in St Etienne, Eastern Central France.

J & J Cash had built a relationship with Neyret Freres who had Jacquard Looms capable of making Silk Pictures of Greater Size than Cash's silk looms. This picture is the larger version that was produced.

The Woven Picture Features a Black and White Scene of a young Boy and a Girl who are sharing a secret.

The Scene is from a Painting by Marie (Mizzi) Wunsch who was an Austrian born Artist who worked in Italy in the Late 19th Century and featured Children in many of her works.

The Scene is entitled "Le Secret".

The Frame is Silvered Metal and is Glazed with a Maroon Mount with a Pink Inset Surround.

The Frame Measures 19" by 13 1/4" and the Visible Silk Picture Measures 11 3/8" by 7 1/4".

The Picture and Frame are in Excellent Condition with No Sign of Fading to the Picture and Just a Slight Knock to the Frame.
