Description: This business grade laptop is used but in good condition. I added a new 1TB hard drive, good battery and upgraded to 4GB ram at no extra charge. The 1 year warranty and shipping are free as well. I installed Open Office Suite for word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, graphics, databases and more. It is fully compatible with all versions of Microsoft Office. I also installed AVG free edition to protect your computer from viruses and spyware. I use stock photos in all of my auctions, but you will receive the exact same model notebook as pictured. All of my laptops are in a grade B to B+ condition. On a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being the best) these are all 8 or better. They are not new but I'm sure you will be impressed with the condition. Some of my Dell laptops will include a black or vinyl skin LCD cover. These laptops are in very good physical condition but because the top covers are exposed most of them will have minor scratches. If the condition of the top cover drops below an 8, I will apply the vinyl skin cover. The cover really dresses up the appearance and provides and extra layer of protection. If the top cover has very minor blemishes and has a grade of 8 or better I will not apply the skin. Note about the end of Microsoft XP support: Microsoft has stopped creating Windows updates for XP, but this is not as bad as it sounds. As long as you have a good antivirus program on the laptop, Windows XP will work perfectly for many years to come. I used Windows 2000 and NT for several years after the support stopped without an issue. The only problem I have seen is the internet explorer web browser runs slower than it should with the XP operating system. That is why I have installed Google Chrome on all of my XP machines. Google Chrome performs about twice as fast as internet explorer on XP computers. And since Microsoft stopped creating new updates for XP, Google Chrome will be more secure than IE as well. This laptop is compatible with Windows 7 so you could always install Windows 7 in the future if needed. I would recommend leaving XP on the laptop though. I love Windows 7, but XP is still my favorite operating system. My primary desktop computer has XP and and Im sure I will still be using it 5 to 10 years from now. We use Norton's 360 on all of our home and business computers and they have been free of viruses since the day we first installed the software in 2007. This laptop has the free version of AVG installed which does a good job of protecting the computer as well. You might consider upgrading to the full paid version of AVG or Nortons 360 for additional protection. I highly recommend Nortons 360. I have several laptops available with Windows 7 on ebay.
