This wide angle zoom lens is one of the best currently available for Canon gear and widely used from enthusiastic photographers. The range of 12-24mm is very usable range and reproduce accurate color & very sharp, perfect for walking down the street or some random shooting.
If you own any cropped sensor Canon camera, this is great collection for your Canon system and don't need to buy expensive Canon lenses. The lens produces excellent contrast color and nice clear pictures on any Canon D-SLR camera. This is one ideal lens for architecture to scenery and any kind of events. The range of lens is good for video shooting too. f/4 constant aperture is more than good sharp enough on any wide angle lenses.
This lens is DX II vision and has better contrast than any previous Tokina wide angle lenses. I sold all my Canon cameras and has only one full frame camera kept so this lens is not much been used anymore. You can still use on full frame camera but 19mm and wider angle can be seen dark circle. Only 20mm start working on full frame and 1.3 cropped sensor cameras will be started working from 15mm. 1.5 cropped sensor will start working from 12mm.
Lens is perfect working order and focusing are always sharp & accurate and super clean over all on the body. You can check the condition of the lens in my photos section and what you see what get the actual lens listing. Coming with UV filter on front since day one.
I own many Canon & Nikon lenses and this lens has been kept in camera bag most the time in dry, protective condition when not in use and super clean, no fungus, no scratch on the body, front and rear optics. Zero dust. All sample pics were taken with this Tokina 12-24mm lens and were never edited and right out from the lens & Canon 1D MKIII camera. Please take a look in photos section. New one will cost you over $490 but this proven sharp and produce nice contrast color lens is as good as buying new one with 0 issue working.
