This pattern is an elegant French idyllic pastoral countryside toile printed in a pretty dovestone colour on an off white pure cotton. 

Toile de Jouy is a uniquely French design. The scenes printed on the fabric usually have a mythological reference.

Some Toile can be very intricate and grand and the scenes are often of Victorian country scenes.
