DIY 1176 Clone. This is a Gyraf Rev F. build (For more info on the build just google Gyraf Audio DIY). Has "that sound" the 1176 is known for and the case looks pretty cool. This was the first compressor I've had where I could just use my ears instead of looking at the meters. Start turning the knobs and you'll hear when you have the compressor hitting just right. It's pretty cool.

I didn't do the build. I'm the second owner and have had it about five years. I've had a shop add a couple mods. The big switch on the front is the "All In" option found on the original because the Gyraf doesn't include the option and the switch on the back is a high frequency roll-off switch. After doing some research I learned that the Gyraf clone tended to roll-off the highs and there was a fix for it so I had a switch added so the option is still there. Lastly, the meter isn't really accurate. I had my shop calibrate it but like many original 1176s the calibration tends to drift on these so as I said before it's better to just use your ears. To bypass the comp just leave the compression ratio switches out.

I'll ship Fedex or UPS so no PO/APO/FPO Boxes please and free shipping is for continental lower 48 only so if you are on an island, protectorate or Alaska please email me first.
