Vietnam - Khang Chien (Resistance) Medal

The medal itself is clean and bright, intact and undamaged with minimal wear.

The ribbon on the suspension bar appears to have kept it`s original colour and is generally in good condition.

The star has a touch of wear but nothing serious.

The pins at the rear are present and in good order.

** I have two of these to sell and am selling them singly, not as a pair. **

Please note that Vietnamese medals are aften smaller, and made from thinner metal, than those we are accustomed to in the West. If that is a concern then this may not be the right item for you.

I have checked on eligibility using a website called Rusty Knight`s Place and find it was awarded to "PAVN (People`s Army of Vietnam) units and individuals for meritorious military service, or service in support of the resistance against the French, between 1946-1954, and against the South Vietnamese and eventually their American allies 1954-1975. This award was established on 20 August 1948."

This is one of the more common Vietnamese medals on the market at present but still an interesting item and a piece of history.  It is sometimes found with a suspension bar, as in this example, or sometimes with a ribbon. There are three different designs that I personally know of  so do check our pictures to be sure this is the one you want.

All our medals are supplied to their new owner in one of our plastic medal wallets (see picture 5) which are made by a Bulgarian firm called Lyubo. A further supply of these can be found elsewhere in our listings if required.

We combine postage. We post to anywhere that has a postal service. Any questions, just ask.

 Happy collecting !
