A stunning vintage bauhaus era scissor lamp in the style of Christian Dell, likely late 1930's. With a steel upright & articulated scissor movement, glossy black & white enamel shade & cast iron clamp to the base. A simple yet striking industrial lamp with a wonderful overall look about it.
The lamp extends to 108cm completely flat out(clamp to shade) & the upright alone(excluding clamp & scissor section) is around 43cm in height. It in good overall condition but is an item with an industrial past & shows a few expected signs of age with a few expected chips to the enamel shade & areas of minor paint loss. The wiring on the lamp does not appear not original however it did come with it in place so as with all old electrical items, I must recommend that it be checked by a qualified electrician prior to use. The flex is a little on the short side at 125cm from base to plug but totally usable. The metal stool which the lamp is attached to is not included in the sale.
