RARE OLD GUNTHERMANN FIRE TRUCK...ENGINE...much scarcer than most of the fire trucks usually seen....from DISTLER or TIPPCO

measures just under 10 inches.
clockwork/wind-up fire engine...with driver and crewman....adjustable steering axle..bell ringer underside etc...
MECHANISM WINDS-UP,WITH ORIGINAL FIXED-KEY WINDER......fire truck will still move around.
old fire truck is nearly 90 years old.....original green front ladder support....shown here with some missing parts;including a front wheel arch piece...ladder and its table/support...and may have had a full crew of four originally.
tin printed litho is still attractive and bright...with nicely detailed seating and engine hose components...even the tinplate cabin lantern lights have survived.
truck has nicely crafted original firemen in period uniforms.
still has original grill...steering wheel and cabin bell support(bell missing as is common on old fire vehicles).
original tinplate wheels are really nice and attractive (one front one with bit movement on axle).
vehicle is very sound...not rotten,or covered in rust......odd scuff,scratch,chip etc...few red paint touch ups at rear platform/inner fender edge(may even clean off)...has few "spider lines" in original finish,but nothing terrible.
underside is nice and sound...still has its bell ringer,which sounds as the front axle rotates.
RARELY SEEN GUNTHERMANN FIRE ENGINE......for project or enjoy as it is.
