UK postage only £2.85 for as much wool as you like
A
traditional, thin, beautifully classic, relatively strong, high quality yarn, to
create a perfect balance between durability and breathability. This
combination ensures that your your finished item will retain its good looks long after your knitting is completed.
Please see my other items for lots more craft bargains - This
unique shade is a rich blend of the darkest browns, with feint golden highlights, to form a very
subtle tweed effect yarn. It was inspired by our peat banks, found all
over the moors of Caithness, with a feint glow from sun-lit rushes. For the main brown shade, think along the lines
of black coffee or Cadbury's Bournville chocolate.
- High
quality, two fold yarn, with relatively high twist, helps prevent
shedding and pilling, adding durability to your finished woolly
creation, without compromising on looks.
- As
with most good quality wool yarns, this wool will soften and fluff up after its first wash, but it will probably not be
something that everyone would want to wear next to their skin or put on a
baby! But, it is perfect for outer garments, shawls, hats and scarves, as well as household items.
- The natural, insulating, pure wool fibres keep in warmth but allow your body to breathe at the same time.
- Knit it loosely for bulk and warmth or knit tightly to keep out the wind.
- I am only selling this yarn as I had more than I needed for my projects.
- This listing is for 50g of yarn. Multiple skeins, purchased at the same time, will be supplied all from the same dye lot.
- I would say the yarn thickness is between 3-ply and 4-ply, or like a light 4-ply.
- Everyone's
tension/gauge is different, but I knit this yarn on 3mm needles (USA 2
1/2) and get 32 stitches and 40 rows to a 4" (10cm) square.
- Approximate length per 50g = 260 yards (approx. 240m).
Despatch will be the next working day after receipt of payment (sometimes the same day that payment is received).
I
have accurately matched the colour on my screen, but please be aware
that all computer screens are different, so there may be a colour
variation at your end.
