Lovely Harris Tweed Blazer 44S

Beautiful jacket

Simply stunning Harris Tweed blazer from Paul R Smith in a great quality tweed which is a mix of various shades of grey with green and gold and windowpane detail in red and blue to create a beautiful soft cloth in superb condition

This blazer has brown old leather football style buttons, 2 flap pockets, 4 tweed edged inside pockets and a luxurious black lining which finishes it off perfectly.

Bertie and Brummell have been trading for over 18 months now and have sold over 3000 Harris Tweed jackets in this time so when we say that this is one of the nicest Harris Tweed jacket we have seen so far, that is a big statement to make.

You will see from the pictures that I have tried to show how this can be matched with a nice shirt and waistcoat, however it would work just as well with a plain t shirt and pair of jeans.

This jacket would work just as well on a night out as it would as daytime wear or indeed country pursuits or a day at the races. The quality of the workmanship on this jacket is exceptional unlike many of the jackets around today and the fact that it is made with Harris tweed which is the worlds best make this a very special jacket indeed.

I have sized this blazer as a 44S, however please look at the measurements below to get the exact sizing

Details include: breast pocket, 3 buttons fastening, 2 flap pockets, brown buttons, 4 inside pockets and no vent

About Harris Tweed

By far the best tweed produced in the world, Harris Tweed is a cloth that has been handwoven by islanders at their homes in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland, finished in the Outer Hebrides, and made from pure virgin wool dyed and spun in the Outer Hebrides.

Harris Tweed is protected by the Harris Tweed Act, which strictly outlines the conditions in which the cloth can genuinely be made.

Authentic Harris Tweed is issued with the Harris Tweed Orb Mark after inspection by the Harris Tweed Authority, the industry's governing body.

The Harris Tweed Orb Mark is the United Kingdom's oldest certification mark and is recognised all over the world.

Certification marks are trademarks with a difference. This ancient method of identifying products has its roots in the medieval guild system. Groups of traders, characterised by profession or location, were recognised through their guild and the reputation that was associated with it, guaranteeing that goods or services meet a defined standard or possess a particular characteristic.

These blazers are vintage items and as such may have had very small repairs done and I would suggest they need a dry clean before wearing to remove any marks on the tweed. I make every effort to highlight any obvious faults however some of these items are over 50 years old and you have to expect a certain amount of wear and tear. That said, I don't sell anything which is in need of expensive repairs and every tweed jacket is in good condition as shown on the photos
