This is a self assembly card model kit requiring glue, craft knife,
steel rule and other optional items to cut, build and complete.

Typical of the "Takeaway" restaurants, that can be found in all parts of the UK.

You can see from the close-up shots, the excellent level of detail that is easily achieved from Purple Bob's card models, with just a little time and patience. Purple Bob's model is designed to a scale of 7mm to the foot, and is perfect for use with "O" Gauge Model Railways. Or just to build for the fun of it. The finished model stands approx: 8 inches (20cm) High 9 inches (23cm) Wide including pavement 4 inches (10cm) Deep including pavement This closeup exterior shot, shows the detailed "Modern Style" frontage tacked onto a Victorian terrace. This has been such a common sight on the streets of the UK for the last 50 or so years, that we don't think about them and they rarely get modelled. All of the signs on the front of the building are included in the kit as photographic prints Making them wonderfully crisp and accurate.

The kit has a fully detailed interior, including tiled walls and suspended ceiling, counter and waiting bench. Menues and a fish painting adorn the walls. On the shelves you see a Chinese Lucky Cat, Soy Sauce bottles and even the TV in the corner to entertain the customers showing one of those tacky 70's TV cop shows. I think I'll just step through the door and order a Number 57 with egg fried rice and some prawn crackers :-)

Included in the kit is the kitchen vent, shown here. No Chinese Takeaway would be complete without one. This vent can be fitted at either end of the building or even at the rear showing over the top of the roof if you are making this part of a continuous terrace. The kit also includes real photo printed name signs, which are printed on "Fuji Crystal Archive" Photographic paper. Which has a lifetime "Colour Fast" Guarantee.
