Here we have a lovely, good quality pair antique hard paste porcelain figurines of a young girl dancing and a young man playing a flute or fife. They have been made in the Bow Porcelain style of the period around 1760 and are mounted on ornate scrolling rococo footed bases. They are very well modelled, nicely painted and detailed. We are sure these were made by The French porcelain factory of Edme Samson of Paris probably in the late 19th century around 1900. The figurines each stand approximately 8 inches or 20 cms high and the base is approximately 3 inches in diameter. It weighs 760 grammes unpacked. The figures are in good antique condition. He has lost the ends of his flute. She has a short hairline to the base and one base leg has been broken and reglued. Please see the photos.
