Plaque is old in original condition as found. Most of these plaques are 35-60 years old. Most of these plaques were made aboard ship or from a Ship's Tender in the foundry by crew members working in that shop. It's hard to say how many were totally made through out the years. No  plaques were made out of Tax payers money. Plaques and ashtrays were made out of the ships scrapes. Some were made out of brass, aluminum pot metal, copper, plaster and resin. Usually the crew members painted the plaque. The wood plaques was made out of the ships supply in the carpenters or ship fitters shop. Others plaques were made in sea ports abroad. LQ
