 Acousta-fil ® is a textile product with outstanding thermal and acoustic insulating properties. Acousta-fil has been designed for controlled expansion on initial contact with heat and is intended to fill complex voids with acoustic insulation media to a pre-determined density. No other product can fill the void as efficiently and densely as Acousta-fil®.

Acousta-fil PTX core and effect texturised yarns provide a safe and competitive solution to the problem of filling mufflers with highly sound absorbent, high heat resistant glass fibres. PTX is unique in that it is made with a blend of  Advantex® and Powertex ® fibres, both of which have a proven track record in automotive silencer applications.
