Reviews from Amazon.co.uk:I bought the foil DVD, which was excellent, so was keen to get the sabre DVD, having started that weapon recently. As with the foil DVD this is an excellent product. The various attacks and parries etc. are shown in a very clear and simple way with a progression from the simplest moves to the more complicated. It`s just two fencers, one in white and one in black, demonstrating the different sabre moves. No "personalities" to distract from the lessons and no intrusive music. The production values are excellent too, great quality video and sound, the first sabre DVD I bought looked as if it was filmed on super 8 in 1970`s Russia.If you have a sabre then get this DVD too!I was not expecting to receive such a wealth of information that had been provided in this DVD. I am a Foil fencer and my instructor has been talking to me about progressing to the Epee. I had been a bit apprehensive because of the lack of "right-of-way." However this DVD demystified the art Epee, and I must report that I have progressed surprisingly well since I have studied this DVD.I was very impressed with this dvd. As a student of fencing, I appreciate the narration and the attention to detail.. explaining the does and don'ts with almost every technique. As a coach, it offers a solid example of teaching progression. I even made a few changes to my teaching curriculum (order of learning) after watching this video and I was delighted to see that my student's retention of the techniques improved because of that.
